A Georgian Beauty

Looking for that alternative wedding venue?

"Tullyveery House provides a stunning backdrop and gives you absolute freedom to host and entertain your wedding guests however you choose. Enjoy unfettered and exclusive use of the secluded private grounds and gardens and access to a family-owned Georgian country house."

"Tullyveery House is a really special place to have your wedding photographs taken, regardless of where you marry, or go on to enjoy your evening reception. This calm, peaceful and private setting, with its sweeping views, mature trees and gardens, is the location to record what will be the one long-lasting memory of your special day."

"Tullyveery House is licenced by the Downpatrick Registrar to hold Civil Wedding and Civil Partnership ceremonies. There are two 30-40 person indoor locations and three somewhat larger outdoor venues. This permits the switching of an outdoor choice to indoors, in the event of inclement weather, at relatively short notice."

"The advantages of holding your wedding reception in a marquee at Tullyveery are enormous. It is the chance to realise that dream that most can only imagine."

"Please note that Tullyveery House is entirely private and that visits can only be made by prior arrangement. This ensures that someone will be available to meet and help you on arrival."

Golf in the City

Has any one ever been to the indoor Citigolf on Cromac Street in Belfast?

Great fun for a night out and definitely gets those competitive juices flowing......... or the drink! (a fine line between the two!)

Magnakata, as a complete (well, nearly complete - sorry Stevie) team, embarked on the bright lights of the "Big Smoke" and set out for an evening of Golf, Food and Dancing.

We started off splitting in to "Team Europe" and "Team USA", playing a few holes at St, Andrews...

"Team USA" were the reigning champs, but the less said about that, the better!

We Then moved on to Wagamamas in Victoria Square, and had delicious food.

The evening continued on into the night, with a few more bars, a couple of lost team mates and Gump with his glow sticks, showing off his dance moves in the Stiff Kitten.

Until next year.....

Oh the weather outside is frightful.....

........ but the fire is so delightful!

We love a Summer Wedding but there is something quite magical about an Irish Winter Wedding.  With the snow falling and creating a beautiful white blanket outside to you and your guests cosying up inside to mulled wine by the open fire.

At Magnakata, our Tipis our designed to withstand some of the harshest weather conditions, meaning that we welcome the winter with open arms.

All that aside, how simply stunning to create a wedding designed all about winter? There is just so much to choose from, I don't even know where to start:

From the dress, shoes and accessories -

To the decoration and table centres -

Or finally, to the Snowball Cake .....

There really is just too much to choose from, and get excited about.

If I was to do my wedding all over again, (obviously to the same guy) this would definitely be my wedding of choice!

Not only can the Tipis withstand the snowy conditions, they are also fantastic for decorating & creating an amazing feel, the reindeer skins are a perfect addition to the occasion -

I don't know about you, but I am extremely over excited about Christmas this year, and after having been to my fair share of weddings this summer, what a lovely way to end the year with something that little bit different.

The End!

Wedding Blues

What a year we have had in 2011 - we have had wedding, after wedding, after wedding and it has been fantastic. Now, with no wedding of my own to plan and no must have outfit to purchase, I feel a little bit somewhat at a loose end.

At Magnakata, we have been to the depths and beyond of Ireland and have been involved in some of the most stunning weddings.

Inish Beg, Co. Cork

Inch Island, Co Donegal

Killinchy, Co Down

Downpatrick, Co Down

Here is looking forward to it all starting over again in 2012.
